The board would like to thank Rudy Hulst for more than a decade of capable leadership as executive director.  Rudy has been instrumental in building Homestead into a ministry with a reputation for financial stability, credibility, and excellence in the provision of affordable housing with supports. 

Congratulations Jeff Neven!

The board was unanimous in recommending that Jeff Neven be appointed as executive director of Homestead Christian Care.  The interview and subsequent discussions demonstrate that Jeff has the faith, passion, skills, and abilities in addition to the respect of his colleagues and staff needed to continue to shepherd and grow the ministry of Homestead Christian Care. 

Jeff Neven will assume the responsibilities of executive director effective May 1, 2012.

Located at 1429 Main St East in Hamilton ON, The Perkins Centre has meeting rooms that accommodate from 15-200 people, suitable for conferences, board meetings, family gatherings, parties, and civic association/corporate meetings. The centre is wheel chair accessible and has a fully equipped community kitchen and off-street parking.  Rates are low helping your group afford to make a difference in our community.

Each room is rented at a rate of $10/hour | Please view room pages for rental details | if AV and Audio (other than basic sound) equipment are required additional charges will apply – please specify needs.

At the discretion of Homestead, Weekend and Evening rentals will be required to pay a Hospitality Host fee at the rate of $16/hour

Unless other arrangements are made, all rentals must be paid in full by calling our Main Office.  Visa/MasterCard/Cash will be accepted one week prior to date of rental.We require a valid credit card number with each rental.

Financial Support for Homestead

Homestead Christian Care is a non-profit charitable organization primarily serving those with mental illness through affordable housing and rehabilitation services. We assist our residents in meeting personal recovery goals and improving quality of life through life skills training, social involvement, and spiritual growth.

Homestead gladly receives support from a variety of sources including individual and corporate donations. Your donation enables us to provide the rehabilitation services which augment our affordable housing. Please consider becoming a regular donor with us, or making a one-time gift.

1. Investing in Homestead
We are currently taking investments of over $1,000 with the following terms:
4.5%              Open term
5.0%              1 year term        
5.25%            2 year term

2. Leave a Lasting Legacy for Years to Come
Provide ongoing rehabilitation services to one resident by creating a $40 000 Sponsorship Fund in your name.
Provides continuous, long-term resident sponsorship.
An immediate charitable tax receipt for the full amount.
Interest on the fund goes to Resident Sponsorship while the capital is invested in  kingdom work at Homestead.

3. Estate/Will Planning

Make a Difference Today!
In order to provide rehabilitation services, Homestead must raise donated support of $200 per month for each resident to cover the difference between the income streams and the actual costs. 
Please Consider a Resident Sponsorship of $200 per month.

Charitable Status
Homestead Christian Care is a registered Charity in Canada. A tax receipt will be issued for all gifts over $10.00.
